These last five weeks of Lent have been very special for a group of young people from the parishes of St. John Vianney and St. Cecelia in Colonia and Iselin. For three hours each Sunday evening, they have gathered together to prepare the way of the Cross, as in The Living Stations of The Cross. This year will be the 16th annual portrayal of the Stations by the youth group of the two parishes, under the direction of Richard Valente, with costume design by Maria Valente. It has also been special for me to participate in a small way, but mainly to witness their love of the Lord, giving of themselves, so that others may share in the experience on Good Friday.
